About AFSSA
Who we are
Australians for Syria SA (AFSSA) is a not-for-profit community organisation representing and supporting the Syrian-Australian community in South Australia. Since 2013, we have brought families together, preserved our culture and heritage, supported newcomers settling into life in Adelaide, and raised awareness and humanitarian support for Syria.

Regular social events that bring Syrian-Australian families across South Australia together to connect and support one another.

Practical guidance and support for newly arrived families finding their feet in Adelaide and South Australia.
Humanitarian Fundraising
Fundraising and awareness campaigns supporting humanitarian relief efforts for people affected by the crisis in Syria.
Youth & Family Programs
Activities that connect younger generations with their Syrian heritage, language and culture.
Community Advocacy
Representing the voice of the Syrian-Australian community to government, media and the broader South Australian public.
